Dell Technologies has announced services and product updates covering AI security, identity recovery, threat detection and storage protection, alongside encryption capabilities and assessments designed to help enterprises prepare for risks associated with future quantum computing.
Dell Technologies has expanded its cybersecurity and resilience portfolio with services and capabilities covering AI environments, identity platforms and storage infrastructure. The updates combine protection, threat detection and recovery, alongside measures intended to address future quantum computing risks. The company said the changes address attack surfaces and operational dependencies that conventional data protection and recovery strategies overlook.
Security and recovery for AI environments
Security Hardening for Dell AI Factory assesses physical, virtual and application layers, identifies configuration risks and recommends controls. Resilience Operations for AI helps organisations prioritise critical AI applications and establish recovery policies and procedures.
Expanded PowerProtect AI Assistant capabilities provide conversational management of assets, tasks, restores and reporting. Daily briefs highlight potential risks, while a human approval workflow allows teams to review proposed actions before execution.
Venkat Sitaram, Senior Director and Country Head, Infrastructure Solutions Group, India, Dell Technologies, said: “Organisations in India are managing greater complexity, increased exposure and faster-moving threats as digital adoption and AI deployments continue to accelerate. Businesses are increasingly looking to protect their AI environments, identity systems and infrastructure with tools and strategies that can address the evolving threat landscape. Dell has the portfolio, services and operational expertise to help organisations strengthen cyber resilience and bridge the gap between emerging threats and existing security strategies.”
Identity protection and business continuity
PowerProtect identity resilience capabilities support recovery of Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID and Okta to a clean, trusted state. Dell Managed Detection and Response for Identity provides continuous monitoring for suspicious authentication, compromised accounts and privilege misuse. Dell experts can initiate automated responses when defined attack patterns are detected.
Xiong Xiong, vice president of IT, Ascend Performance Materials, said: “For manufacturers, resilience is critical to maintaining operations and serving customers without interruption. Working with Dell Technologies has helped strengthen our backup and recovery capabilities, giving us greater confidence in our ability to protect critical data and support business continuity across our global operations.”
Storage integration and quantum readiness
PowerProtect integration with PowerScale will automate retention-lock snapshot management. SmartSync support enables snapshot synchronisation to ObjectScale for additional recovery copies and retention.
PowerStore software introduces quantum-safe encryption for data travelling over Fibre Channel with supported PowerEdge servers and configurations. Dell’s Post-Quantum Readiness Assessment identifies cryptographic exposure and prioritises migration actions.
Dave Vellante, co-founder and chief analyst, theCUBE Research, said: “Agentic AI is changing both the speed and scope of cyber risk. AI-enabled attacks and enterprise agents can operate at machine speed, amplifying the impact of compromised identities, excessive permissions or errors. Encrypted data stolen today could also be decrypted by future quantum computers. We believe Dell’s focus on connecting protection, detection and recovery across AI environments, identity and infrastructure addresses an important enterprise need -- containing disruption, sustaining critical operations and restoring systems and data to a verified, trusted state.”
