Jio Platforms posted strong numbers in its first quarterly results since listing. Consolidated net profit rose 13.7% year on year to Rs 8,389 crore for the September 2026 quarter, up from Rs 7,379 crore a year earlier.
Revenue from operations grew 11.4% to Rs 40,475 crore. Gross quarterly revenue reached Rs 47,485 crore, with double-digit growth in both connectivity (11%) and digital services (16%).
Profitability improved faster than sales. EBITDA rose 16.6% to Rs 21,879 crore, and margins widened 250 basis points to 54.1%. The company credited subscriber additions, higher average revenue per user (ARPU) and steady growth in digital services.
Jio also passed two milestones during the quarter: 300 million 5G mobile subscribers and 30 million fixed broadband subscribers.
Managing Director Akash Ambani tied the performance to Jio’s competitive edge, citing full-stack technology across seven layers, deep engineering capability and proprietary intellectual property. He said these give the company several growth engines across mobility, home, enterprise and international markets.
The results follow a landmark IPO. Jio Platforms completed its Rs 30,188 crore offering on October 28, the largest in India so far. Ambani said demand records were broken in every investor category, from institutions to retail investors and employees.
Looking ahead, Ambani said Jio will deepen its work in satellite communications, 6G intellectual property and AI built into its core voice and data services. On international expansion, he said the company will be very selective about which markets it enters.
