UPS has announced that its customers from Austria to Australia now have mobile access to track packages, calculate shipping rates and find the nearest UPS location with an extension of the company's mobile Web site, m.ups.com, to 35 additional countries and territories. When mobile users log in with a My UPS ID, saved tracking information is said to be automatically refreshed to display package tracking history. UPS tracking numbers also can be nicknamed for quick reference.
Jordan Colletta, VP, Customer Technology Marketing, UPS said, "Accessibility is vital to customers and our mobile offerings extend UPS capabilities to busy, on-the-go professionals and consumers who need immediate access. With this expansion, the mobile Web site is available in more than 40 countries and territories."
m.ups.com was available previously to customers only in the United States, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Italy and Canada. The mobile Web site is now available for customers in the Americas (Brazil, Puerto Rico and Mexico); Asia (China, India, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and New Zealand); Europe (Spain, The Netherlands, Poland, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Ireland, Portugal, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Russia, Turkey, Romania, Greece, Luxembourg, the Czech Republic and Hungary) as well as South Africa.
