Sony to reshuffle Games Unit Management
2011-06-29
Sony Corp claims to reshuffle the management of its video games unit, two months after the company was hit by a massive hacking attack that forced it to shut down its PlayStation Network for about a month. Kazuo Hirai, the electronics giant's second-in-command, who also currently serves as the president and group CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc (SCEI), will become chairman of the unit.
Welsh-born Sony veteran Andrew House will take over as the unit's new president and group CEO from September 1. Current SCEI Chairman Akira Sato will retire on August 31.
