National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) is organizing the third edition of the two-day NASSCOM Engineering Summit 2011 on October 12th and 13th at Hotel Hyatt Regency, Pune with the theme 'Innovation and High Value Engineering' - India As a Strategic Partner. The Summit will provide a platform for delegates to understand debate and strategize globalization of engineering, opportunities in emerging markets, frugal engineering and new models of co-creation.
As part of its initiatives to promote the growth of the engineering services industry in India, NASSCOM, will release a whitepaper, during the conference, titled, 'ER&D: Accelerating Innovation with Indian Engineering'. The whitepaper will take a view on the current drivers for engineering services, the business models being adapted by the industry and case studies on how India is moving towards high value engineering.
The Summit will have keynotes, investors' master class and strategic value sessions from globally renowned speakers focusing on industry vertical tracks like aerospace, automotive, hi-tech electronics, embedded systems, infrastructure, medical electronics and telecom.
Industry stalwarts Ray Hammond, Futurist, Baba Kalyani, Bharat Forge, Tamaki Tsukada, Japanese Economic Minister, Markus Maier, Daimler, Anil Srikhande, Rolls Royce, Dr. Madhavan Nair, Chairperson, Space Commission, will discuss, debate, and deliberate on topics/themes like focusing on global R&D, Economies Bank on Innovation & R&D, Strategic Enablers - Transitioning to outcome based models, Market Forces and Technology Trends Driving Changes in Global Engineering Content.
