More than 200 employees of Motorola Mobility have volunteered in India during the company's first global community service program. The Global Week of Service will engage nearly 2,700 Motorola employees in 23countries the week of 18 to 22 October and will include volunteer projects focused on building stronger communities.
During the Global Week of Service, local communities will benefit from an energetic burst of Motorola Mobility employee volunteers and a wide-range of uplifting activities. The projects will provide a cross-section of opportunities for communities to benefit from critical technology programs, health and wellness education, environmental stewardship and timely natural-disaster support among others.
Additionally, throughout October, Motorola Mobility employees will also take a direct stance against hunger and aid children affected by the East Africa Food Crisis by contributing to Save the Children.

Global Week of Service allows employees across India to come together and help organizations like the Concern India Foundation, Literacy India, Little Sisters of the Poor, and Restless Development builds awareness about our environment, improves general health and hygiene among children and sparks an interest about science and engineering among students."
