CMC Limited has appointed Sudhakar Rao, former Chief Secretary of Karnataka and ex- Director of PMO, as Independent Director with effect from July 11, 2011.
With the addition of Sudhakar Rao, the total strength of the Board of Directors of the Company increases to seven which include four independent directors, including Rao, the most recent addition.
"Sudhakar Rao's extensive experience in administration and finance will enrich the deliberations of the CMC Board and I am sure that his contribution and counsel will be of great value to the Company in the years to come," said S. Ramadorai, Chairman, CMC.
