Citrix appoints Sanjay Deshmukh Area VP India Subcontinent

Citrix Systems has appointed Sanjay Deshmukh as the Area Vice-President – India Subcontinent, Citrix Systems India.  Deshmukh will be responsible for the company’s entire operations, including enterprise and field sales, services, technical pre-sales and the post-sales functions.

Deshmukh joins Citrix from SAP, where he was serving as Vice-President for the Business User and Platforms business. He joined SAP as part of their acquisition of Business Objects where he was the Country Manager India/SAARC from 2001 to 2008.  Deshmukh started Business Objects in India and built a team that succeeded in establishing Business Objects as a dominant player in Business Intelligence application space. His other assignments include tenures with Informix, Tata Unisys and Binary Semantics.

Deshmukh takes over from Souma Das, who leaves Citrix after tenure of eight years to pursue new opportunities.
