Apacer consolidates Industrial PATA SSDs

To consolidate its offerings, Apacer continues its focus on the needs of custom systems integrator by having announced a series of PATA SSDs, such as 2.5- and 1.8-inch high-speed and high-capacity AFDs (ATA Flash Drives) and the compact ADM 3G (ATA Disk Module 3G). Both standardized and customized products come available in all specifications.

The newly-unveiled standardized AFD (ATA Flash Drive) SSDs consist of highly-stable SLC (Single-Level-Cell) chip. The AFD 255 with 2.5-inch 44pin connectors comes in 32 and 64GB capacities, while the 1.8-inch AFD 185 supports ZIF connectors, offering a maximum of 32GB capacity. With sequential read and write speeds of up to 125 and 110 MB/sec, respectively, both can enhance computer performance and meet user needs for highly stable and reliable storage solutions. In addition to above standardized products, Apacer releases the new-generation ADM 3G (ATA Disk Module 3G) modular SSDs targeting the customization clients. To save motherboard space, the new ADM (ATA Disk Module) 3G has been reduced in size by about 58% than its previous generation, measuring only 6.45mm in thickness. Featuring both vertical and parallel power connectors, the ADM 3G can respond to the motherboard design needs from the application side and prevent problems of mechanism interference.

Furthermore, Apacer, in consideration of cost for customers, introduces the MLC (Multi-Level Cell) offerings with cost structure advantage - including AFD 255-M, AFD 185-M and ADM 3G-M. The AFD 255-M and AFD 185-M have maximum capacities of 256GB and 128GB, and sequential read/write speeds of up to 120 and 90 MB/sec, respectively. By accessing data using electric potential instead of being powered by a mechanical motor, they outshine traditional hard disks with an anti-shock, anti-falling and low-power-consumption design.
